Student visa for 1 year is inclusive of the following:

  • Visa processing fees (Entry Permit and Stamping)
  • Change status (only applicable for inside UAE applicants )
  • Regular Medical Examination
  • Health Insurance (12 months)
  • A Visa Maintenance Charge of AED. 2625. This charge is one time payment which the University may use to meet-visa related expenses which occur throughout a student’s studies at UOWD. The student is eligible for a refund of the balance remainder of this charge after visa cancelation.

Undergraduate admission requirements

To enrol in an undergraduate degree program you will need to meet the University’s minimum Academic and English language requirements. In some cases you are able to apply for advanced standing, which can provide exemptions on the basis of work you have already completed at another recognised post-secondary institution.

  • GCE A/AS/O-Level: Students must complete a minimum of 12 years of schooling and a School Leaving Certificate must be provided.
  • Students with a post-secondary Diploma need to obtain a GPA of 2.5 or higher with a grade of ‘C’ in English, Mathematics and Computers plus 60% in their High School Diploma.
  • Students with qualifications other than those listed above are advised to contact the Student Recruitment and Admissions department at UOWD to determine their eligibility.

Probation Entry – Students are allowed to enroll in a minimum of two subjects in their first semester and are required to achieve a weighted mark of 55% in the first three subjects completed to continue on the program.

  • Applicants to the MBA program are also required to have two years full time work experience after the completion of their Bachelor’s degree.
  • Applicants for the MAF program are required to have a recognised Bachelor’s degree in Business.
  • Applicants for the MEM program are required to have a recognised Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
  • Applicants for the MITM program are required to have a recognised Bachelor’s degree in an IT related field.
