Part-time work rules
Students on a UAE student visa may only work if UAE regulations allow it, with permission from their university (as the visa sponsor) and the required work permit.
Some universities offer on-campus jobs or approved part-time roles. Do not start any paid work without checking with your university first — working without the right permission can affect your visa.
After graduation
Employer-sponsored visa
Graduates who find a job are usually sponsored for an employment visa by their employer.
Other residence options
The UAE also offers other residence options for some graduates, for example longer-term visas for high achievers. Requirements change, so check the latest rules or ask us before you plan.
Employment depends on qualifications, employer requirements and UAE regulations.
